Girl Scout Badge Day 2008

Women in Aviation help the Girl Scouts earn their Aviation Badges.  In 2006, our chapter helped 3 troops earn their badges.
This year we hosted helping Troop 2162 to earn their badges on May 31, 2008.  Epps Aviation, located at DeKalb Peachtree Airport, has offered us use of a hanger for the event.  Galley Gourmet and Signature Flight Support assisted in dontaing items and a lovely lunch.  We ended our day with a tour of PDK Airport tower.

The girls all had a great time and learned all sorts of things such as aerodynamics, flight safety, who ATC really are, and how the shuttle works.
